Clearman's Galley Restaurant

Project Description: This Southern California regionally famous Galley "Boat" Restaurant, established in 1968 and located on the Clearman's site in San Gabriel, California, has been rebuilt from the ground up by architects at Brian Bloom's office. The newly designed space accommodates over 300 customers in its voluminous interior space. It's exterior space is reminiscent of old seaside warehouses, but updated with some modern trends. The original 1913 mail vessel which previously served as the operation's kitchen, has been partially restored and relocated as a feature of the new restaurant.
